Skill Level: 1 (Beginner)
Effect: Magician shuffles a deck of cards. With the deck facing downwards, the magician begins to deal the cards one by one from the bottom. Spectator stays stop. The chosen card is handed to the spectator and asked to remember the card. The spectator then shuffles the deck of cards together with the chosen card. The magician then looks for the chosen card in the deck and voila! The magician reveals the chosen card.
Magic Secret: Using a normal deck of cards, secretly glance at the bottom card of the deck before performing the card trick. False shuffle the deck by riffle shuffle leaving the forced card at the bottom of the deck. Hindu shuffle may also be used for false shuffle (don't worry I will be discussing the different techniques and terms in future blogs). With the deck facing downwards, hold the deck above with your left hand. Using your middle and ring finger, Pull the bottom card (the forced card) back about a centimeter from the front edge of the deck. Begin to deal from the bottom of pack one by one leaving the forced card at the bottom and ask the spectator to say stop whenever he wanted. When the spectator says stop pull now the forced card. With the "chosen card" facing downwards, hand it to the spectator. Ask the spectator to look at the card, put it back in the pack, and shuffle while you turn your back. You can now look at the card and find their "chosen card."
Variation: When the spectator stays stop while dealing the cards from the bottom, you place the "chosen card" face down at the table. Act like you have a psychic ability and then identify the "chosen card." You can see the amazement of the spectator as he turn the card over and and see you were right.
